Propylene Glycol is a colorless liquid that is soluble in water and other organic solvents. Propylene Glycol is used as a feedstock for resin, plasticizers, surfactants, emulsifiers, and demulsifiers. Propylene Glycol is also used as a solvent for paints, plastics, pigments, and flavoring agents. Propylene Glycol is used in deicing solutions and antifreeze for vehicles and as an antifreeze, hygroscopic agent, lubricant, and solvent in food, pharmaceutical, and cosmetic products.
