Description

Propylene Carbonate is a colorless liquid. It is mainly well suited for applications needing water-white or high-purity products in cosmetics, and electronics. Propylene Carbonate is used as a recovery and extraction solvent for carbon dioxide, as a solvent in surface coatings, paint removers, degreasers, dyes, fibers, plastics, wood-binder resins cosmetics, personal care products, cleaners, to bake enamels and photochromic solutions. Propylene Carbonate is used as a high-permittivity constituent in lithium batteries, as a plasticizer, as a spinning solvent for synthetic fiber, as a reactive diluent for urethanes and epoxy resins, a dispersant for greases and lubricants, a binder for foundry sand and moulds, a cleaner in electronics, and as a scavenger for water. It is used in natural gas refinement.
