Dibasic ester, a refined mixture of dimethyl esters of adipic, glutaric, and succinic acids is a colorless liquid with a mild fruity odor. It is non-flammable, non-corrosive, and readily biodegradable. Dibasic ester is used as raw materials for polymers, plasticizers, paper resins, polyester resin, polyurethanes, and specialty chemicals. Dibasic ester is the main component in paint-removing hand cleaners.
