Description

Isobutanol is a colorless liquid and is used to synthesize intermediates of diazine phosphorus, isobutyronitrile, propylene glycol, and butyraldehyde. It is also used as a fuel additive in gasoline or diesel fuel blends. Isobutanol is used as an analytical chemical, chromatographic reagent, solvent, and extraction agent. Isobutanol is used to produce plasticizers, synthetic rubber, fruit essentials, petroleum additives, and antioxidants. Isobutanol is used as a solvent for ethyl cellulose, nitrocellulose, polyvinyl butyral, natural resins, oils, and rubber.
