Description

Diacetone alcohol, a beta-hydroxy ketone is a clear colorless liquid. Diacetone Alcohol is primarily used in paints, coil/architectural coating, and varnishes. Diacetone Alcohol is also used as a solvent for water-based coatings, pigments, waxes, oils, organic peroxides, nitrocellulose, and cellulose acetate. Diacetone Alcohol is also used in lacquers, lacquer thinners, wood stains and preservatives, printing pastes, paper and textiles, permanent markers, artificial silk and leather, imitation gold leaf, in celluloid cement. It is utilized as a preservative for animal tissue. It is used in metal cleaning products, to prepare photographic films, and in hydraulic brake fluids.
